 Indonesia to Export 42,000 Tons of Crude Palm Oil

MEDAN, May 19 - The Indonesian palm oil association Gapki said Indonesiawill start exporting 42,000 tons of crude palm oil [CPO] to Russia under acountertrade scheme between the two countries.

Implementation of the plan has to wait for the result of talks between theBoard of Logistics [Bulog] and the Russian authorities, Gapki chairmanDerom Bangun said.

Indonesia and Russia recently signed a countertrade agreement under whichIndonesia will export commodities, including CPO, to Russia and inexchange will import Russian Sukhoi jetfighter and other militaryequipment in a equal price.

Bulog has been named to facilitate exports to Russia.
